Can you tell me a bit about your background and role with Ascent Solutions?
I’m a businessperson turned programmer, which gives me the best of both worlds – the ability to see and understand, even define requirements, and execute them myself. What POS hardware does Ascent currently use from Star Micronics?
Currently, we’re using the mC-Print3 printer and CD4 cash drawer. We’re also exploring the mPOP® receipt printer/cash drawer combination, as its versatile connectivity and clean presentation are highly attractive.
What made Star so easy to partner with?
The Integration Team at Star was supremely helpful and always ready to hop on a call to help us troubleshoot. Star’s WebPRNT technology really worked out with our POS software because it works with Salesforce, a web-based platform. We also loved how the mC-Print3 offers free access to Star Micronics Cloud Services because it allows business owners to customize receipts and schedule promotional material.
